Respect Life MinistrySt. Joseph's has a very active Respect Life Ministry and participates in many Respect Life events within the Diocese. Won’t you join us in our effort? Purpose The Committee’s main purpose is to actively promote respect for all human life from conception to natural death through prayer, education and action and to recruit volunteers to help meet those needs. Goals1. Promote a public information and education effort to all groups within the parish to deepen understanding of the humanity of the unborn, the sanctity of human life, the moral evil of abortion and the consistent efforts of the Church to witness on behalf of all human life. 2. Promote and assist pregnancy counseling and comprehensive maternity support services, as well as post-abortion counseling and reconciliation programs; and 3. Foster public awareness of the need for a constitutional amendment and other laws and policies to restore legal protection to the unborn. ResourcesA Life Issues Bulletin Board has been set up in the Community Room across from the parish’s “general” bulletin board, just off the kitchen. Toni Onks, Michaela Tomas, and Kathy Pittman will be raising up the various action items for life, especially those in which St. Joseph’s Parishioners are engaged in and promoting.
