The Parish Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Pastor about important affairs so that the parish can continue to serve the many varied and changing needs of its community. The Council provides significant leadership in formulating parish goals for annual submission to the Diocese.
Meetings are held monthly and are open to all parishioners.

Parishioners are invited to contact members about concerns as well as aspirations for the good of the parish. A number of issues can be routinely handled outside of meetings.
Who may advise the Pastor? Anyone, of course. Leaders in AAMEN, the Legion of Mary, the Altar Guild, the Choir, the Director of Religious Education, the Minister of Music, and the office staff bring matters to the Pastor.
Parishioners, at the door of the Church, will raise up thermostat, discomforts and the choice of hymns with the Pastor. Everyone should bring to his attention the shut-ins who need care, families in difficulty, areas of ministry being neglected.
The Bishop’s staff and Committees (Catholic Charities, the BAA) gently apprise the Pastor of his duties to the Diocese.
Who may the Pastor lean on for the good health and orderliness of Church life? The standing Committees (Maintenance, Hospitality, etc.) and groups and individuals like those mentioned in the paragraph keep going on. There are, thankfully, many with servants’ hearts out there!
